dipped on the peachfront conure for northern argentina
Quick update: As you may know, the peachfronted conure/peachfronted parakeet is pretty rare in northern Argentina, although in theory it has occurred there. I got the impression that my friend had never seen it there. When we were in the right habitat (humid, even flooded wetlands, with some occasional trees), I kept a lookout but never saw even one of the right termite nests on the trees...so I wasn't too surprised that I didn't find the species.
We were mostly chasing raptors, so I won't talk too long about my trip on this site, but if you'd love to follow the story, including our big day with Orange-breasted Falcon, you are welcome to stop by my personal diary.
