hurricane advisory
I had to move the birds inside today in advance of Hurricane Isaac, which will likely present Category 2 winds at my location. Courtney is using the opportunity to heckle the Yellow-crowned Amazon, and Cookie already broke down and cried...twice.
The idiots...I mean our glorious parish leaders...did not bother to announce a voluntary evacuation for my neighborhood until after all the other idiots had drained all of the gas stations filling gas cans for their generators. So we're going to shelter in place. It doesn't make much sense to run for your life from a Cat 2 anyway, but we're all a bit rattled. Well, Courtney is not rattled. He's having a blast...
