Welcome to the Best Free Peachfronted Conure Information on the Planet

I've lived with Peachfront Conures Aratinga aurea for 30 years. I've bred 'em, trained 'em, even visited Bolivia to observe them in the wild. For more about me, click right here.

NOTE: Photobucket stopped hosting years worth of my photos without warning. Please be patient while I am replacing them.

a half moon conure

Peachfront's Note: I didn't make this video. It's a "share" from YouTube to show the difference between peachfront conures and this species, the half moon conure. If you are the copyright owner of this video and don't want it here, let me know, and I'll take it down.

Many people confuse peachfront and half moon conures, and they both have imperfect speaking voices, even though they are highly intelligent. Look closely. Do you know how you can see right away that this bird is a half moon?

That's right. A light so-called "horn" colored beak! You'll never see that on the peachfront conure.
