Welcome to the Best Free Peachfronted Conure Information on the Planet

I've lived with Peachfront Conures Aratinga aurea for 30 years. I've bred 'em, trained 'em, even visited Bolivia to observe them in the wild. For more about me, click right here.

let's dance

Peachfronted Conures are so sweet to each other. I sat and watched them snuggle, two by two, for hours during the storm and in the aftermath.

Their funniest move, the one that makes me laugh no matter how often I see it down through the years: They're sitting tight, and one of them wants to turn around on the perch but doesn't want to scoot away from its partner. So the bird sort of lifts its tail and spins just right, so the head ducks under the other bird's tail and its tail barely skims lightly over the other bird's head. So polite. And so graceful. They never mess up and whip a tailfeather in the other guy's face.
