I've lived with Peachfront Conures Aratinga aurea for 30 years. I've bred 'em, trained 'em, even visited Bolivia to observe them in the wild. For more about me, click right here.

a safe toy note
A Budgie is a small bird. A Peachfront Conure is a small bird. It may seem logical to the new bird owner that the Peachfront Conure could play with a Budgie toy. No, no, no, no, no...!
A Peachfronted Conure is much stronger than a Budgie, with a much more powerful beak. It could make a cheap plastic Budgie toy into a dangerous pile of plastic chips in a surprisingly short amount of time. Give your Conure toys intended for Conures. It does little harm if you offer a toy originally designed for an even larger, more powerful bird, like an Amazon, but it can result in tragedy if you offer a cheap toy meant for a much less powerful bird.
