peachfronts maybe need to chill

Over the past few days, Dale and Courtney have been displaying suspicious signs of breeding behavior, with Dale spending more time than normal in the nestbox and Courtney kissing and flirting with her.

Considering their age, and the heat, when I saw Dale sitting outside the next box yesterday evening looking a bit worse for wear, I decided to bring them inside for a few days -- away from the summer, away from the nestbox. They're not a rare species, either in the wild or in captivity, so there's no burning need to ask them to reproduce. Plus, at their age, any eggs are likely to be infertile, so it's just stress on her body to no purpose.

They've been pretty good about it. I have Nyota in the dining room where their indoor cage lives. She's trying to chat them up, but I'm afraid they're mostly just ignoring her.
