I've lived with Peachfront Conures Aratinga aurea for 30 years. I've bred 'em, trained 'em, even visited Bolivia to observe them in the wild. For more about me, click right here.

A second quote from my January 1992 BIRD TALK article, Let's Talk Birds Survey Report: Bird Care Tips:
Bathing birds is often such a fun activity that it hardly qualifies as a chore. "All my conures love water and will go for a bath anywhere any time they can get one," said [BIRD TALK survey participant] Moirene Coyle. When hand-feeding baby conures, Coyle cleans them off afterward so that they will learn early to enjoy water. "They close their eyes when I say, 'Wash your face,' so I can rinse off their faces. They also close their eyes when I say, 'I've got a towel. Dry your face.' They really make it easy for me."
